PHI PHI LEY

PHI PHI LEY is one of the most beautiful islands in the world. Known infamously as the location for Leonardo Di Caprio's film "The Beach"
Pileh Bay is a small lagoon-like bay. Entrance to the bay is only at low tide although the far end of the bay drops off to form a small lagoon.
A small beach is located in one corner of the bay.
Loh Samah Bay is situated at the southern end of Phi Phi Leh. The mouth of the bay is crowned by a small island that offers a nice dive.
The bay has a small beach which is a nice spot to stop for a picnic. A hole in the east wall of the bay allows people to access the back end of Maya Bay.
Maya Bay is the famous setting for the "The Beach". The bay has one main beach and two minor beaches.

KOH YUNG (MOSQUITO ISLAND)

Koh Yung also lies to the north of Phi Phi Don. There is a rocky beach on the eastern side, a small beach in a
fold of the hill and perfectly preserved coral gardens. Good for snorkelling. The island gets it's name from the black clouds of mosquitoes at sunset.
Day trips are available to Yung Island from Phi Phi Don, and feature some brilliant views of pristine coral fields. Make sure you have your underwater camera with you to take some great pics in this underwater paradise.

KOH MAI PHAI (BAMBOO ISLAND)

Ko Mai Phai is north of Ko Phi Phi Don and not far from Ko Yung. Marvellous beaches are in the north and east of the island.
The bank of coral reefs with staghorn corals, in particular, stretches from north to south of the island.
A beautiful little island just 20 minutes from Laem Tong Bay, by longtail. Bamboo Island is designated a national park so there is no accommodation here and there
is a 200 baht fee when you arrive. Fabulous swimming beaches and very good snorkeling. Crystal clear water, some lovely coral, and an abundance of fish.
At low tide it is possible to walk right around the island. On the return boat trip there is a great mid-sea snorkeling location known as 'The Blue Lagoon'.
